Authorities with the Lufkin Police Department were responding to a call about a kangaroo on the loose on May 19. As police were driving down Fuller Springs Drive, the kangaroo shot out in front of the patrol car.
The moment was captured on the dash cam of the patrol car. The kangaroo jumped in front of it, and the patrol car was behind it.
Officers soon learned the kangaroo belonged to a man in the neighborhood, who said he forgot to close the gate to the kangaroo enclosure.
