The body was found near West 21st Street South and South 49th West Avenue, with tire tracks identified as from Martinez's 2005 Nissan Sentra. When Martinez was found, he told investigators that he was flagged down by a man and woman and had gotten high with them before getting stuck in sand. TULSA, Okla. — A man was arrested for the unlawful removal of a body on March 22, according to an arrest and booking report from the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.
After a woman was found dead near West 21st Street South and South 49th West Avenue, investigators noticed tire tracks near where the body was found.
Surveillance video FLOCK camera video helped confirm the tracks were from a 2005 Nissan Sentra owned by Dominic Martinez. In the video, investigators saw Martinez's car get stuck in some sand.
According to an arrest report, when investigators found Martinez, they asked him about this incident and why he was there in the first place.
According to the report, Martinez said he was going to the store when he was flagged down by a man and woman. Investigators said they took note the description Martinez gave of the woman matched the woman who was found dead.
Martinez said he and the two people then got high together, the report claims.
The booking report said Martinez said after that, his car got stuck in some sand and he tried to get it unstuck for several hours before he walked home.
In the surveillance video, the report said Martinez can be seen getting stuck and trying to free the vehicle before he walks back and forth several times to where the woman's body was found the following day.
The cause of death and whether or not Martinez is involved with the deceased woman is still being investigated, but Martinez was arrested for the unlawful removal of a body.
