The Hangzhou-Nanchang High-Speed Railway, a landmark project in China’s railway infrastructure, has commenced full operations with the unveiling of the Huangshan-Nanchang section on December 27. This major development was announced by the China State Railway Group, which also shared photographs of the newly operational section. The railway, stretching over 560 kilometers, not only provides faster transportation but also anchors a world-class tourism route, given its passage through prominent tourist attractions.

The completion of the Hangzhou-Nanchang High-Speed Railway comes as a significant boost to intercity connectivity in East China. The railway commences at the Hangzhou South Railway Station, passes through multiple cities, and culminates at the Nanchang East Railway Station. With a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, the railway promises to enhance the regional road network significantly and facilitate quicker travel.

The Hangzhou-Nanchang High-Speed Railway, particularly the 288-kilometer-long Huangshan-Nanchang section, is more than just a high-speed transit route. It hosts more than 70 Grade 4 and nine Grade 5 national tourist sites along its path. This strategic positioning has led to the establishment of a golden tourism high-speed railway line, linking natural and cultural attractions of national fame and importance.
