Inaugural Cohort gives Tulsa neighbors a say in what changes are needed in their communities

Three Tulsa neighborhoods are getting a chance to tell the city what they want to see improved. 2 News Oklahoma's Stef Manchen talked with residents about what they want changed and how a new yearlong program could help make it happen. Three Tulsa neighborhoods have been selected for the 2027 NCI Collaborative cohort, which allows residents to directly address improvements in their communities. The yearlong program involves residents and City of Tulsa departments to identify neighborhood concerns and develop plans to address them. Concerns include traffic safety, property upkeep, crime, and walkability. Beginning in January, residents will meet monthly with City departments to develop action plans, track progress, and work through challenges. The new program aims to address everyday concerns into tangible improvements.
