The Cherokee Nation is set to purchase apartments in north Tulsa for Cherokee families to move into. The Cherokee Nation is set to purchase seven apartments in north Tulsa for Cherokee families to move into. The Houising Authority of the Cherokee Nation (HACN) has partnered with Green Country Habitat for Humanity to manage seven units on Harvard Avenue. The units will be leased from the Housing Authority's waitlist for low rental apartments. Once the units are leased out, HACN will purchase them using funds from the housing, Jobs, and Sustainable Communities Act. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for October 28 to celebrate the families moving in.
