Tulsa engineer Kevon Martorell has developed the Adaptive Fitness App, Adapt & Triumph, designed to make exercise and meal planning more accessible to users with disabilities. The app offers 204 exercises, stretches, and over 400 recipes for people with amputations, burn injuries or mobility limitations. Martorello, who now works as an engineer at East Ech Flow Controls, developed the app after spending over a year developing it. The self-funded LLC's app tailors workouts and workouts to a user's specific condition or disability. Research has shown that people with disabilities are less active and carry a greater burden of disease than people without disabilities, while leisure-time physical activity is associated with better health across populations.
