Gunman disarmed by customers at midtown dollar store, Tulsa police say

After a man fired a gun Tuesday afternoon inside a midtown Tulsa dollar store, customers and employees managed to disable and disarm the suspect so police could get him into custody.
Officers responded around 2 p.m. to the Family Dollar at 3019 S. Sheridan Ave., where witnesses said a man came into the store and discharged a firearm.
No one was shot, and those inside the store were able to subdue the suspect, according to Tulsa Police Capt. Richard Meulenberg. The man was taken into custody shortly after.
